Let me take you to the real case, imagine you attend a party with 50 attendees. Can you imagine how much of the waste produced if they all are using a single use cup and cutleries? We didn't even count on the fact that it may have a lot of food leftovers.

Hosting a party shouldn’t come to an expense for the environment. With hosting an environmentally friendly party, we still can maintain the fun, minimizing waste productions, and reducing the carbon footprint. Little changes can have a significant impact, whether it's using eco-friendly decorations, preparing the quantities wisely, or using reusable things. Don’t worry! In this article we will show you how to host a sustainable party, reducing the waste but still ensuring the fun!

  1. Reducing single use plastics

As explained earlier, plastic cups, plastic bags, napkins, cutleries, etc could be reduced by using alternative essentials. For example, you can use a reusable cup or find an eco-friendly non plastic cup made out of sugarcane bagasse. Other ways, you can also find a biodegradable option of party essentials that can easily be composed.

  1. Waste handling

It is also important with the fact that your party needs to have the best Waste Management. Make sure you can tell your guest to sort out and dispose of their waste properly. A little tip, you can also reduce the food waste by serving a smaller amount of food or creating a “Take your Food” section where they can bring their leftover food.

  1. Sustainable decorations

Your party still needs decorations to gain more fun, but don't worry! We still can make your party look pretty and sustainable at the same time. You can find reusable decorations for your party, make sure you can avoid microplastic waste such as confetti. Nowadays, we can use biodegradable balloons or use paper craft for the signs and banners at your party.

Hosting a sustainable party might seem to have a little effect for a better planet. By adopting tiny, mindful changes like using recyclable goods, managing waste effectively, and selecting for eco-friendly decorations, you can lessen your party's environmental impact without reducing the fun.
